Transformative digital solutions and brand development for the biotech company Nanolive
Nanolive, a leader in live cell imaging, faced the challenge of evolving its brand from the academic market to the biopharma industry. To clearly communicate this new direction, we developed a modern, future-oriented branding that emphasizes Nanolive’s innovative strength and scientific expertise. A refresh of the corporate identity ensured a consistent brand presence on all channels – from the website to the marketing materials. As part of the collaboration, vierviertel supported Nanolive in the strategic planning and implementation of extensive campaigns to increase lead generation. These included email marketing, Google Ads and detailed reporting processes. The targeted establishment of a strong digital presence and increased visibility in the highly competitive pharmaceutical market were decisive steps in achieving this goal.

Nanolive, founded in 2013, is a company with over 70 employees in Switzerland, the US, Europe and China, specializing in imaging and analytical technologies for research areas such as drug discovery and cell therapy. With a global network of distributors, Nanolive has been supporting the transition from the academic market to the biopharma industry since 2020. The company’s specialized technology enables the creation of living cell images and videos that are considered groundbreaking and are attracting a lot of attention in the scientific community and the pharmaceutical industry.
Website Refresh
The existing website received a design and functional refresh that improved user-friendliness and the flow of information. As part of this refresh, high-resolution cell images were integrated into the header images, highlighting the special image quality of Nanolive’s live cell images. These visual elements complemented the existing design elements and helped to unify and streamline the corporate design.
In addition, the site was optimized for higher visibility through targeted SEM/SEO measures and the setup of Google Ads campaigns, which led to a significant increase in reach and lead generation.

Establishment of efficient marketing measures
We worked closely with Nanolive to develop the strategic direction of the Google Ads campaigns and provided comprehensive support during implementation. Special landing pages were created, equipped with targeted CTAs and forms and geared towards high conversion. Our advisory input and support during implementation played a key role in significantly increasing Nanolive’s visibility and reach and achieving the company’s goals.

Development of a clear icon set for a clear structure in communication
The icon set developed is characterized by its compact, user-friendly and clear structure, which enables clear communication. It facilitates orientation through the various contents and fits seamlessly into the existing corporate design. The icon set strengthens the brand’s recognition value and serves as a visual-communicative guide that supports a uniform and easy-to-understand presentation of information.

Creation of the key visual
The key visual shows Nanolive’s microscope device with the image of a 96-well plate. It represents the precision and quality of Nanolive’s imaging process and sets a strong visual signal for the brand, which is used consistently on various channels.



Product folder
The product folder for Nanolive’s 3D Cell Explorer 96focus has a clear, consistent design that emphasizes the company’s core messages and technologies. The central key visual, consisting of the microscope device and a 96-well plate, emphasizes the precise imaging quality. Combined with the icons from the specially developed icon set, a consistent and clear communication of the product features is achieved.
The high-resolution images of living cells, as Nanolive’s unique selling point, take visual branding to a new level. They illustrate the image quality and possibilities of the technology and at the same time strengthen the brand image with a uniform and visually appealing design.
Print materials
We designed various print materials, such as one-pagers and brochures, to present Nanolive’s innovative technologies clearly and concisely. These materials were kept in a uniform design to ensure the visual consistency of the brand identity. Here, too, the high-resolution images of living cells play a central role in highlighting the unique selling points of Nanolive’s technologies. The materials are informative and specifically geared towards the needs of the target group without giving the impression of advertising.
Service Contract & Release Note – Print materials for various products

The service contracts and release notes were created in a clear, neutral design that supports Nanolive’s professional brand image. The aim was to consistently establish the visual branding in the service and support documents through a uniform layout. The specially developed icons from the icon set were used to create a visually consistent language. A “marketing info” was added to the last page of each document, providing general information about Nanolive and contact options for the support and sales team, thus optimally supporting the customer journey.

Scientific poster
The scientific poster, which was created for congresses and trade fairs, has a clear, uncluttered structure with a friendly, bright design in the colors green, grey and black. The focus is on the high-resolution images of living cells that demonstrate Nanolive’s unique imaging technology. These images illustrate the scientific depth and precision of the technology, while the poster deliberately avoids creating an advertising impression. As a subtle marketing measure, a QR code was integrated that leads to a video of a live cell image and thus emphasizes the special capabilities of Nanolive’s technology. The poster thus combines scientific accuracy with a subtle reference to Nanolive’s innovative imaging processes.
Pop-up exhibition stand and roll-ups
For trade fairs and congresses, a portable pop-up display and several roll-ups were designed to convey Nanolive’s core messages in a clear and visually appealing way. The concise cell images are also used here, highlighting Nanolive’s imaging process for living cells.


This unique selling point runs through the entire branding and is also used specifically in the trade fair materials to attract the attention of the target group and strengthen the brand’s recognition value. The materials ensure a professional appearance and underline Nanolive’s innovative positioning in the biotech market.
